John Potter, (son of Harry Potter - the famous Wickford Tattooist), is a lifelong Beach Boys Fanatic! From the age of about 13 when his sister bought him their greatest hits as a birthday present. The memory of listening to the Beach Boys with friends in the hot and long summer of 1976 has left an indelible mark on John.

He studied Fine Art and Print-Making in at Thurrock Technical College, worked in Stratford doing mainly darkroom and photography type work and eventually set up his own business in 1991.

He now lives in a converted pub in Greenstead Green (near Halstead, North Essex) with his wife Sandra and three children, Tom, Callum and Robyn, 3 dogs and 3 horses, 2 chickens, 1 bantam, 6 rabbits, 7 Ducks, 4 Quail, numerous goldfish.

By day, John is a graphic designer from Halstead, His office can be found by driving through North Essex and listening for the sound of the Beach Boys flowing across the countryside - He plays guitar (not in the band) and has studied classical guitar. John and a couple of friends (one of which is Neil the BBB's roadie and part time vocalist) play in a non-gigging band which mainly consists of drinking and watching youtube . . however when they do play they tend to be playing more diverse music such as Radiohead.

A mention in 2005 on BBC Essex that a Beach Boys Band in Southend was looking for a singer prompted him to contact Alan. The tale goes that John won the part over two other hopefuls, one with a speach impediment the other that never turned up for the audition.

In the Band, John takes on the role (vocally) of Mike Love (minus the beard)!! and of course the law suits.....and of course the mincy dance steps, and the ego, and the money and jewellry!

John also produces the BBB's website which is probably the reason why there are more pictures of John on here than any other band member.
